Maintenance Guide
How do I maintain my pair of National Standards?
Your National Standard sneakers are designed and manufactured with care and high standards thanks to the know-how of rigorously selected craftsmen.
The leathers we use are of natural origin and evolve with time and use. In this guide, we recommend some valuable tips to preserve their appearance and longevity.
- Before any maintenance, we advise you to remove the laces and put shoe trees inside your shoes. Regular use of these will allow you to maintain the shape of your shoes.
- We recommend that you waterproof your velvet or nubuck sneakers before use. Repeat this operation after each cleaning, this will make your shoes more resistant to water and stains.
- Avoid contact with raw denim to prevent any color transfer.
- In order to take care of your sneakers, we have developed 2 care kits specific to the materials we use.
